It is the final step in a routine, a nourishing layer that seals in everything applied beneath it and leaves skin looking soft and radiant by morning. It suits dry, dull or tired looking skin that needs extra care without extra weight.
Glow-ry contains 2% hydrolysed marine collagen at 300 Daltons and ten botanical oils: Centella Asiatica, rosehip, wheatgerm, grapeseed, tamanu, black seed, sea buckthorn, sunflower, sesame and vetiver root. Each one was chosen to soften, condition and replenish skin, and together they cover nourishment, conditioning and glow without needing a filler base oil to carry them.
Facial oils work differently from water based moisturisers. Rather than adding water to skin, they form a nourishing surface layer that helps prevent moisture loss, so the hydration from your toner, serum and moisturiser stays where it belongs. That is why Glow-ry goes on last. It seals the routine rather than replacing a step in it.
The oils were chosen to be lightweight and fast absorbing rather than heavy and occlusive, and grapeseed and rosehip in particular sit very light on skin. Two to three drops is enough for the whole face. If you are acne prone, introduce it at night a few times a week to begin with and patch test first, since tolerance to facial oils varies from person to person.
Many facial oils are mostly a cheap base oil carrying a small amount of whatever is named on the front of the bottle.
